The biogas produced at the Oslo landfill is used to produce heat for a district heating system. The landfill covers 10 hectares and is inspected by a FLIR GasFindIR thermal imaging camera twice a week for gas leaks. When detected, action is taken on the land by covering it with clay. Through the actions derived from the use of OGI thermography, they estimate savings of more than €12,000 per year.
