Description

WEOM 640 × 480 thermal core without lens

The WEOM thermal core is an ITAR-exempt, wide-band infrared camera module designed and manufactured in Europe by Workswell for system integrators. It is intended for installation inside other equipment, such as unmanned vehicles, thermal monoculars and binoculars, fixed industrial and security cameras, machine vision systems, and driver assistance systems.

This specific configuration delivers 640 × 480 pixels at 9 Hz with a NETD sensitivity of less than 50 mK, in a non-radiometric version without a lens, featuring an M25 lens mount, so that the integrator can select the optics based on the required field of view. FPGA processing provides spatial and temporal filters, automatic and manual gain control, and non-uniformity correction with an integrated shutter.

Main features

  • Uncooled LWIR detector: 640 × 480 microbolometer with a 17 µm pixel pitch and a wavelength range of 8 to 14 µm.
  • Sensibilidad y velocidad: NETD < 50 mK y 9 Hz de frecuencia de imagen en esta versión.
  • Three gain modes: Super Gain from -32 °C to 80 °C, High Gain up to 160 °C, and Low Gain up to 600 °C.
  • Shipped without a lens: M25 lens mount, with fixed focal lengths available in 14 and 35 mm for M25 and 7 to 100 mm for M34.
  • Interchangeable interfaces: 14-bit parallel CMOS, USB-C, micro-HDMI, CVBS, GigE with PoE, and Smart Ethernet.
  • Control and integration: WEOM GUI software, SDK libraries, REST API compatible with OpenAPI, ROS1 and ROS2, and ONVIF in the Ethernet versions.
  • Compact and rugged: weighs less than 65 g without the lens, aluminum body, IP67-rated front panel, and boots up in less than 5 seconds.

Common applications

  • Integration into drones and unmanned vehicles
  • In-house-manufactured industrial and security fixed cameras
  • Computer Vision and Inspection Systems
  • Thermal Monoculars and Binoculars

Compatibility

Control via WEOM GUI and SDK, REST API over HTTP, ROS1 and ROS2, and ONVIF for third-party software in models with Ethernet. Complies with RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and CE.
