Description

FLIR A6481 17 mm Motorized Lens

The FLIR A6481 17 mm motorized lens is the widest-angle lens among the three standard focal lengths in the series. It operates in the mid-wave infrared (MWIR) band with a motorized FPO bayonet mount, designed for FLIR's R&D and scientific cooled cameras, and allows for remote focus adjustment via software or a controller, without the need for physical access to the camera.

It covers the 3.0–5.0 µm wavelength range with an f/2.5 aperture—the same as specified in the A6481 data sheet—so it maintains the device’s sensitivity and measurement accuracy. It’s the ideal choice when you need to capture a wide scene at close range.

Main features

  • 17 mm focal length in the MWIR band from 3.0 to 5.0 µm; the widest-angle of the three.
  • Aperture f/2.5, matching the standard lens on the A6481.
  • Motorized focus, remotely adjustable via software or a controller.
  • 4-tab motorized FPO bayonet mount, the standard for FLIR cooled cameras.
  • Interchangeable with the other focal lengths in the series: 17, 25, 50, 100, and 200 mm.

Common applications

  • Wide shots at close range
  • Non-Destructive Testing and Active Thermography
  • R&D and Laboratory Test Benches

Compatibility

FLIR specifies it for its R&D and scientific cameras, including the A67xx MWIR and A85xx MWIR series. The A6481 data sheet lists this focal length among its motorized lenses and specifies a FLIR FPO-M mount.
