Intelligent operation

The integrated model is capable of detecting vehicles, vessels and targets during search and rescue operations or routine flights. It also supports model swapping to expand application scenarios. In addition, it supports high-resolution gridded photos and includes powerful tracking functions.

Laser rangefinder, precise measurement

The laser rangefinder enables accurate real-time measurement. Through simple operations such as pointing, drawing lines or calculating coordinates, it can complete tasks such as marking target locations in surveys or calculating the area of a wildfire. It also allows users to share information with relevant personnel via DJI Pilot's QR code or FlightHub 2 to improve collaboration and workflow efficiency.

Recording the observation range

DJI Pilot 2 can highlight the center position of the camera frame and the observed terrain area, as well as display the surveyed area on the map, which is especially useful for patrols and rescue operations in mountainous terrain without clear landmarks.

Stands out in low-light environments

Night scene mode

Significant improvements have been made to the Matrice 4 series' night mode. Its full-color night vision now supports three modes and includes two levels of enhanced noise reduction. An infrared cut filter and auxiliary NIR light have been incorporated to improve vision in the dark, making search and rescue targets clearly visible.

Intelligent low-light photography

The Matrice 4 series cameras feature larger apertures and intelligent functions for low-light scenarios, improving performance and operation during dusk and night.

Infrared illumination

Matrice 4T includes new NIR illumination hardware, which achieves illumination distances of up to 100 meters. [ 4] This ensures clear visibility in dark environments and is ideal for applications such as wildlife protection.

Thermal imaging

Matrice 4T supports high-resolution infrared mode, with image resolutions up to 1280 × 1024. It also offers ultra-high resolution, which allows small temperature details to be revealed in various operations. Precision temperature calibration is performed on all devices and a temperature sensor is incorporated to provide real-time temperature measurements.

Omnidirectional fisheye detection in low light[5].

The Matrice 4 series features six low-light high-definition fisheye visual sensors that greatly enhance visual positioning in low-light scenarios and anti-collision system functions. This feature enables automatic obstacle detection, automatic redirection and safe return in low-light urban environments.

Clear vision: reveals even the smallest detail

Improved medium telephoto lens

The Matrice 4 series features a medium telecamera to extend its performance in mid-range inspection tasks. In bridge or power line inspections, it is capable of detecting bolts and cracks from a distance of 10 meters and clearly reading data from instruments in substations. [6]

Super-resolution telephoto lens

The Matrice 4 series telecamera has significantly improved clarity, offering 48 MP resolution, capable of accurately capturing signal details at a distance of up to 250 meters. [ 7] In addition, the Matrice 4T incorporates an infrared cut-off filter to ensure 24/7 operation.

Close-up stabilization for telephoto images

Optimized telephoto stabilization presents close-up targets stably and sharply during telephoto recording at 10x zoom or higher. In scenarios such as inspections and public safety events, target details are clearly visible.

Electronic defogging, maximum sharpness

In foggy or humid atmospheric conditions, electronic defogging supports three modes (low, medium, high) to improve the image sharpness of the Matrice 4 series according to different operating environments and requirements.

Applications

These drones are designed to be indispensable allies in a variety of sectors:

  • Infrastructure inspectionsDamage identification and preventive maintenance on power lines, pipelines and structures.
  • Advanced ThermographyAdvanced Thermography: Accurate thermal diagnostics for hot spot detection in industrial systems.
