The largest watertightness test carried out in Spain
This summer the Blower Test was successfully carried out at Amazon's new logistics center in El Prat de Llobregat, as part of the commissioning operations of the facilities, which have some 63,000 square meters built on the Mas Blau industrial estate.
The test, the largest ever carried out in Spain and one of the largest in Europe, was carried out by the company Airtest, directed by Timo Hoek, and served to determine the air tightness of the building of Amazon's logistics center.
The execution of the test has been a milestone for the sector in Spain. From APLITER we hope that it will serve to further advance the level of detail of commissioning operations in large buildings.

Testing the tightness of a volume of 1,100,000 m3 is a complex job:
To do this test, several tens of door fan units working in parallel have been necessary. RETROTEC equipment with three-phase power supply was used, such as the RETROTEC 6110, a high-power airtightness testing system (Blower Door) with a 1.5 hp motor and an 8-blade fan capable of developing a flow rate of almost 14,500 m3/h.
