Following the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano, the National Geographic Institute (IGN) has improved its volcanic monitoring and surveillance system by incorporating the FLIR G343 camera, supplied by Apliter Thermography. Thanks to Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) technology, it is now possible to detect CO₂ emissions in real time, reinforcing safety in areas of difficult access, the risks of inhalation of toxic gases for neighbors in the region and optimizing the researchers' operations. This advance reaffirms Apliter and FLIR's commitment to innovation and protection in high-risk environments.
