FLIR thermal imaging cameras are used by fire departments all over the world. These thermal imaging cameras have great sensitivity, a high level of detail and are very robust and resistant to the extreme conditions to which they are subjected. Perhaps because of this and because thermal imaging is still a relatively new technology, we sometimes don't know exactly what a thermal imaging camera is capable of detecting and what it is not.
