Clinker kiln monitoring with FLIR thermal imaging cameras


In Italy, they have developed the IRT KilnMonitor® system, which uses FLIR A315 and FLIR A615 thermal imaging cameras. By means of 3 thermographic cameras covering the entire length of the kiln, the system monitors in real time the temperature throughout the refractory by taking advantage of the rotary movement of the clinker itself. In addition, the software is able to generate a rendering of the temperature distribution in 2D and 3D in real time.
