Aerial inspection by thermography of the district heating network


The article describes one of the first commercial applications of airborne thermography. Using the FLIR SC7600 high-frequency thermal imaging camera and a light aircraft, the district heating system of Swedish cities was thermographically inspected. The FLIR SC7600 thermal camera is able to detect water leaks in the system from a light aircraft in flight.
