FLIR thermal imaging cameras for crop water stress studies


Researchers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture use the FLIR A655sc thermal imaging camera as an essential tool in quantifying crop water stress in order to optimize irrigation water management in the country. Using the thermal imaging camera and a special setup, the researchers obtain measurements of leaf and flower temperatures in sunflower plantings.
