FLIR A655sc thermal camera used to optimize cochlear implant techniques


A critical step in cochlear implant surgery is the realization of the canal through which the implant is inserted. The University of Bern has used a FLIR A655sc with a 50 μm macro lens to optimize the temperatures reached in the area adjacent to the hole in order to minimize risks and facilitate recovery.
