Description

Calibration and general maintenance FLIR thermal imaging camera

FLIR thermal cameras are designed and factory calibrated for accurate temperature measurements and thermography. Provided that FLIR's annual calibration services are performed, the cameras will show high reliability in detecting thermal anomalies and other temperature related phenomena. Conversely, without optimal calibration and maintenance, measurements will not be accurate and adequate image quality will not be possible.

The calibration of each FLIR camera model is unique. Therefore, FLIR's after-sales department is uniquely qualified to keep your camera in good condition for the highest reliability and accuracy in data collection. This division is certified according to ISO 9001:2008 (November 2010) or AS9100 certifications.

12-Point Calibration and Inspection Program for FLIR Thermal Imager

FLIR's unique 12-point Inspection and Calibration program uses temperature references that are calibrated annually and are easily available from the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This program includes the following steps:

FLIR's 12-point Inspection and Calibration Program:

  1. Performing a complete functional check
  2. Image calibration and camera alignment, when needed
  3. Checking of all internal wiring and PCB connections
  4. Upgrading the camera's internal software to the latest revisions
  5. Performing small repairs
  6. Checking and/or calibrating the IR image as required for each temperature range for image uniformity
  7. Checking of ambient temperature compensation as needed
  8. Recalibrated to ensure compliance with factory specification
  9. Performance of quality-approved acceptance test procedure
  10. Delivery of certificate of conformity
  11. Calibration certificate delivery (optional extended calibration certificate with measurement values)
  12. Cleaning of optics; viewfinder clean when necessary

*Parts and labor required to meet calibration standards are not included, nor are additional lens or filter calibrations.
