Description
FLIR PV78 Solar Irradiance and Temperature Meter with Tilt Sensor
The FLIR PV78 is a solar irradiance and temperature meter designed for site surveys, panel installation, and photovoltaic system maintenance. It instantly measures solar irradiance in W/m², ranging from 50 to 1,400 W/m², and panel temperature, either by placing the meter directly on the module or using the external probe for continuous measurements.
It includes a compass to determine the orientation of the solar field and a tilt function to check the angle of the roof or panel. Using FLIR METERLiNK Bluetooth technology, it connects to the METERLiNK app to document, generate reports, and share results from the field.
Main features
- Solar irradiance ranging from 50 to 1,400 W/m² with an accuracy of ±5%.
- Panel temperature measured with the meter or an external probe (−30 to 100 °C).
- Compass and inclinometer for orientation and tilt measurement.
- METERLiNK Bluetooth connectivity with the mobile app.
- Data logging with 360 groups per file.
Common applications
- Site Studies for Photovoltaic Installations
- Commissioning and Testing of Solar Installations
- Panel Maintenance and Performance Diagnostics
Compatibility
Compatible with the FLIR METERLiNK app for mobile devices. It can be carried in the FLIR TA91 hard case.
