Description
The FLIR MR08 air gap humidity probe package is ideal for hammer and wall cavity probe applications.
The hammer probe has an additional handle on the bottom for added convenience for angled, horizontal and inverted hammer probing needs. The bottom handle can be unscrewed and used as a wall cavity probe to measure the moisture level of the insulation inside the wall cavity and can also reach the inside face of an exterior wall. You can also install the strike plate for use with a hammer to drill extended dowels through drywall.
FLIR's new insulated pins have a smaller diameter, so minimal force is required to drive the pins into a surface, resulting in less impact on the material. Sandblast-hardened steel pins with a one-piece design prevent bending and create an improved bonding surface for abrasion-resistant insulation. The insulation extends all the way to the probe connection, so even if the dowels are driven all the way into the wall cavity, the drywall will not affect the measurement.
