Description
The Extech SL130W is a sound level meter with alarm for continuous monitoring of sound levels. Ideal for industries, hospitals, auditoriums, schools, and other areas where it is necessary to receive a warning when the sound level reaches a certain point. Bright LEDs (flashing red or green) alert the user when the sound level is too high or too low; the LEDs are visible from 30 m (100 ft) away. You can set the SL130 so that the RED LEDs flash when the sound level is below the "LO" set point where people in the audience may not be able to hear. When the sound level is above the "LO" set point, GREEN LEDs indicate that the sound level is acceptable. You can reverse the activation of the red and green LEDs according to the user's color preference. Wall, desk, or tripod mount with optional 15-foot (5 m) microphone extension cable for remote monitoring. User-configurable high or low limit (30 to 130 dB) with output to control external relay module. Meets ANSI Type 2 and EN 60651 accuracy specifications; OSHA compliant. Includes 100-240 V AC 50/60 Hz adapter and microphone windscreen. Eight AA batteries (not included) can be used for monitoring function only without LED alert.
