Description
The Extech EX840A clamp meter features a unique built-in, non-contact infrared thermometer with laser pointer for monitoring temperature and detecting hot spots in motors and electrical appliances. Its large backlit LCD display with 6000 count allows you to see readings in low light conditions. Its dual-molded housing and ergonomic design provide a better grip for one-handed operation, and the 43 mm (1.7 in.) diameter jaw opening is large enough for conductors up to 750 MCM or two 500 MCM. With true RMS measurements up to 1000 A, AC/DC current measurements, and a CAT IV-600 V safety rating, the EX840A is ideal for electricians, electrical contractors, and plant maintenance professionals.
