Description

Fan Door Test C.1 Course - Fixed Fire Protection Systems: Category 1

Category 1 course for the performance of the Blower Door Test (Blower Door), a test specifically required for compliance with the Fire Protection Installations Regulation (RIPCI), according to Royal Decree 513/2017 of May 22 published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) of June 12, 2017.

The course syllabus contains the information necessary to optimally design enclosures with gaseous agent extinguishing systems in order to achieve longer retention time and lower peak pressure while reducing exposure to risk.

This course is the result of more than 5 years of research work on the behavior of extinguishing agents in the fire protection of enclosures.

Retrotec Blower Door Test Training

Retrotec is a pioneer in the design and manufacture of equipment for Blower Door Testing. It is internationally recognized for the quality of its products and its contribution to the development of the sector: Since 1980 the company actively participates in the elaboration of standards for Blower Door Testing in the main standardization committees: ISO, NFPA and USACE.

Program

  • Introduction to maximum pressure and enclosure integrity
  • Maximum pressure experiments
  • Important aspects of pressure peaks and dwell time
  • Design and testing to determine dwell time
  • Optimization of the design with respect to maximum pressure and dwell time
  • The Blower Door Test as an empirical test of minimum dwell time

Practices

Using Retrotec's FanTestic Integrity software, the software allows performing the analyses required by the current standards UNE-EN 15004, ISO 14520 and NFPA 2001.

Speakers. Infiltrometry Technical Instructors.

Retrotec's Blower Door Testing courses are developed and taught by personally appointed infiltrometry technical instructors. They have all the accreditations, many years of experience and the know-how of the world's leading producer of Blower Door equipment to perform the Blower Door Test.
