Description
Blower Door Test Course - houses and small volumes
Course taught by the Blower Door Training Center (BDTC) that provides the most important basic concepts of the theory and applications of the Blower Door technique, as well as the operation of the equipment and the use of the software. You will learn the basics of infiltrometry to perform tests on buildings considered small in volume. During the practical session you will work with the equipment in a house in a real situation.
Competencies
This course provides the essential knowledge to perform infiltrometry tests - Blower Door - according to UNE-EN 13829 in dwellings and small volumes.
Blower Door Training Center (BDTC)
The BDTC is a pioneer in Spain in providing first line training for infiltrometry professionals in the fields of energy rehabilitation, reception of facilities and HVAC. Its instructors are experts in the assembly and performance of Blower Door tests, on the regulatory status and expected changes.
Program
- Fundamentals of infiltrometry: What is the air permeability of a building; Why leakage occurs; Consequences of leakage; Where leakage occurs
- How to perform an air infiltration test: Determination of the equipment to be used; Detection of leaks; Units of measurement.
- Regulations: Status of current regulations in Spain; the UNE-EN 13829 standard; and the ISO 9972:2015 standard. International references of sealing requirements
Practices
Practical exercises: On-site assembly and performance of a Blower door test.
Data analysis: Discussion of the results and demonstration of the reporting software.
Speakers
BDTC courses are developed and taught by certified infiltrometry technical instructors and thermographers with advanced degrees and extensive field experience, personally designated to meet the Blower Door Training Center's quality requirements.
Duration
Intensive 1-day course in the morning and afternoon, with a total of 8 hours.
Diploma
Attendees will receive a diploma of attendance and achievement issued by the BDTC.
Remarks
It is recommended that students who have their own infiltrometry and/or thermographic equipment consult the possibility of bringing them to the course, regardless of make and model.
