LWIR thermal micro camera module

 

The FLIR Lepton® is a smaller-than-a-coin LWIR camera solution that fits inside a smartphone and costs a tenth of what traditional IR cameras cost. With 80 × 60 active pixel focal plane arrays, the FLIR Lepton easily integrates into native mobile devices and other electronic equipment, such as IR sensor or micro thermal imager. Both radiometric and non-radiometric versions are available. The radiometric version of the Lepton captures accurate, calibrated, non-contact temperature data at every pixel of every image to be even more useful in commercial applications.

Lepton is the technology behind many innovative FLIR thermal imaging cameras, from the FLIR ONE thermal imaging accessory for smartphones to the MR176 thermal moisture meter. The new thermography-equipped devices have incredible potential in the areas of security, temperature measurement and presence detection. And thanks to high-volume manufacturing techniques, FLIR is able to offer the Lepton at a lower price point than other thermal camera cores.
