Description
FLIR G609 Thermal Imaging Camera
The FLIR G609 thermal imaging camera is designed to streamline inspections in high-temperature industrial applications. It is ideal for monitoring all types of furnaces, boilers, and heaters, especially in the chemical, petrochemical, and utilities industries. Its design allows users to see through flames thanks to a factory-calibrated furnace inspection lens and a removable heat shield, improving operator safety by reflecting heat and providing a clearer view of the asset.
When used with FLIR Thermal Studio Pro software, the G609 allows you to create and run your own inspection maps, streamlining the workflow, ensuring consistent inspections, and capturing accurate and repeatable images.
Main features
- High-precision measurement: IR resolution of 640 × 480 (307,200 pixels), temperature range from -20 °C to 1,500 °C, with an accuracy of ±1 °C or ±2% of the reading.
- High-performance cooled detector: InSb focal plane array (FPA) cooled by a FLIR MC-3 Stirling microcooler, with a thermal sensitivity (NETD) of 20 mK at 30 °C.
- Specialized optics for furnaces: factory-calibrated furnace lens, 24° × 18° field of view, f/2.9 aperture, continuous 1× to 8× digital zoom.
- Operator protection: removable heat shield for the 24° lens, which reflects heat and improves visibility during inspection.
- Integrated image analysis: 10 measurement points, 5 boxes with max/min/average, 1 measurement line (horizontal or vertical), with measurement corrections.
- Connectivity and recording: non-radiometric IR video streaming (H.264, MPEG-4, MJPEG over RTSP/UVC via Wi-Fi), HDMI and DVI video output.
Common applications
- Inspection of furnaces, boilers, and heaters at refineries, petrochemical plants, and chemical plants
- Monitoring furnace tubes to prevent overheating and unscheduled shutdowns
- Predictive Maintenance in the Power Generation and Utilities Industry
Compatibility
The FLIR G609 thermal imaging camera is compatible with FLIR Thermal Studio Pro inspection software for creating inspection maps, reports, and advanced thermal image analysis.
