Description
FLIR A40 Image Streaming Thermal Camera
The FLIR A40 thermal imaging camera (Image Streaming version) is a compact, fixed-mount camera designed for integration into automation and industrial vision systems. Unlike the Smart Sensor version, this model does not perform on-board analysis; instead, it sends the image stream and radiometric data to the control system, which makes the decision.
It delivers images at 30 Hz with a NETD thermal sensitivity of less than 35 mK and an accuracy of ±2 °C or ±2% of the reading. The FLIR A40 thermal imaging camera streams compressed radiometric data over Ethernet, so the receiving system receives the temperature of each pixel—not just an image.
Main features
- Radiometric streaming: uncompressed GVSP and linear radiometric temperature; in the advanced version, also RTSP with H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG, and compressed JPEG-LS radiometric streaming.
- Sensibilidad y precisión: NETD < 35 mK y exactitud de ±2 °C o ±2 % de lectura para ambiente de 15 °C a 35 °C y objeto por encima de 0 °C.
- Digital inputs and outputs: 12-pin M12 Type A connector shared with the power supply, 2 opto-isolated inputs and 3 opto-isolated outputs ranging from 0 to 48 VDC and up to 350 mA, one of which is dedicated to fault detection.
- Industrial Integration and IIoT: EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, MQTT, REST API, ONVIF S, IEEE 1588, SNMP, RTSP, HTTP and HTTPS, SFTP, FTP, SMTP, and DHCP.
- Optics: f/1.4 aperture and 30 Hz frame rate.
- Connectivity: Wired Ethernet and optional Wi-Fi with an RP-SMA connector, sold separately.
Common applications
- Continuous Thermal Monitoring of Production Processes
- Integration into industrial control and automation systems
- Quality Control and Optimization of Production Parameters
- Predictive Maintenance in Unattended Facilities
Compatibility
