Thermal imaging with FLIR GasFindIR LW for SF6 leak detection at Vattenfall (Sweden)


SF6 is a gas with great insulating power, and is used in most high voltage switchgear. A SF6 leak has a major impact on the environment, being 24,000 times more polluting than CO2. Vattenfall uses the FLIR GasFindIR LW thermal imaging camera to detect SF6 leaks, thus reducing the impact of the company's activity on the environment, as well as prolonging the lifetime of equipment and installations.
