The article is a reflection on the need for the thermography operator, in addition to being a certified thermographer, to have the necessary knowledge to analyze the system being inspected. In thermography, the assessment is based on a temperature measurement, but it is necessary to know the possible causes and consequences of our indications as thermographers.
