Hydrocarbon inspections with intrinsically safe ATEX thermal imaging camera


In the port of Antwerp, there are more than 250 hydrocarbon tanks, with different products and capacities. They use the FLIR GFx320 thermal imaging camera to regularly inspect the tanks for leaks of volatile hydrocarbons. A strength of the GFx320 is the intrinsically safe designation, as it is possible to work within safety-critical areas without the need for hot work permits.
